Health and Wellbeing Coaching
We often know what we need to do to support our health; the difficulty can be knowing how to make those changes realistic and sustainable, or even where to start! Health & Wellbeing Coaching provides time, practical support and encouragement to help you clarify your priorities, identify barriers and turn general lifestyle advice e.g. "reduce stress", "lose weight", "improve your diet" or "exercise more" into manageable actions that fit into your life.
Informed by lifestyle medicine principles (so we can identify where to focus attention) and behaviour-change techniques (so we can make changes stick), sessions may explore nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, emotional wellbeing, relaxation, social connection, alcohol use and smoking.
Your goals may arise from general advice given by your GP or another healthcare professional, or they may be priorities you have identified for yourself. Sessions offer a warm, kind and non-judgemental space in which you can talk openly, organise your thoughts and decide on realistic next steps.
Health and wellbeing are not only about making practical changes. Having protected time to pause, talk openly and feel genuinely listened to can be valuable in itself. Sessions offer a kind, supportive and non-judgemental space to explore what matters to you, organise your thoughts and consider your next steps. People often tell me that they leave feeling lighter, clearer, better able to cope and more optimistic about making positive changes.
